Business Development & Marketing Coordinator
(Part-Time | Southern California | Hybrid)
Location: Southern California (Hybrid – Remote + Local Events)
Schedule: Part-Time (15–25 hrs/week)
Pay: Competitive, commensurate with experience and qualifications
Overview:
We are looking for a well-organized and confident individual to support our geotechnical and materials testing firm with proposals, public outreach, and business development coordination. This is a flexible, client-facing role that blends technical writing with relationship-building.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and prepare proposals, SOQs, and teaming packages
- Track RFPs and RFQs via PlanetBids, OpenGov, VendorLink, etc.
- Update project resumes, boilerplate content, and qualification materials
- Assist with formatting cost proposals in Excel (provided by engineers)
- Attend pre-bid meetings, mixers, and trade shows when needed
- Communicate with teaming partners and agency contacts
- Update the website and LinkedIn with relevant staff/project news
- Use or learn ChatGPT or similar AI tools for writing support
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2–5 years of experience in AEC marketing, proposals, or business development
- Familiarity with procurement platforms like PlanetBids or OpenGov
- Strong writing, formatting, and communication skills
- Basic knowledge of WordPress, Canva, or InDesign a plus
