Kettleman Hills Landfill Phase A2 & B2

HAI provided construction quality assurance (CQA) services during the construction of Phase A2 and Phase B2 for Landfill B-17 at the Kettleman Hills Facility in Kings County, California. Phases A2 and B2 have a combined area of approximately 6.5 acres with the intent of being a partial vertical expansion of the previous Phases A1 and B1. Comprehensive CQA services, including subgrade preparation, geosynthetic clay liner (GCL) installation, and 60-mil high-density polyethylene (HDPE) geomembrane deployment. Our team conducted rigorous field density tests and laboratory analyses to verify material specifications and compaction requirements. We also oversaw the installation of the geocomposite drainage layer and the operations layer.
